Beamish Hall Wedding of Katie & James

Katie & James' Beautiful Wedding At Beamish Hall

Photographs that We Can Share and Cherish Forever

We have visited Beamish Hall many times but it always seems to offer up something special and Katie and James’ Beamish Hall wedding was no different. It was no surprise that they chose the venue as Katie used to work there and was able to appreciate all that the building and grounds has to offer a Bride and Groom.

Katie and James are such a lovely couple and their relaxed yet enthusiastic attitude made their wedding such a fantastic day and a pleasure to photograph. The speeches were especially great to photograph, full of emotion and humour.

Wow! what a terrific day.

“David and Paul went above and beyond what we ever expected for our big day. They continuously made us laugh throughout the whole day and made us feel so comfortable. In particular, James dislikes getting his photos taken but they both made him feel at ease with such natural shots. You captured the day perfectly and the pictures were stunning. Thank you for being part of our big day and catching the emotions and happiness of us and all our guests.”

Why did you choose your venue?  It has elegant function suites, in particular Monboucher room, with stunning acres of woodlands that provide the perfect backdrop for photographs that we could share and cherish forever.

Did you have a theme? What was the inspiration for your wedding. The main theme for the wedding was neutral but stylish glamour.

What was your wedding colour scheme?  The colour scheme was carried throughout our wedding that was a soft blush and nude colour palette provided by Beamish Extras with personalised touches

Tell us about your dress and grooms wear: My dress was from Mia Sposa Bridal Boutique which I would highly recommend. It had a sculpted; sweetheart neckline with leaf-style lace which was layered with beading throughout the gown, creating unique patterns and rich dimension. Beginning from the top of the gown, the grand cape train extended to the ground and was finished with a luxurious lace hem. James wore a navy 3-piece suit with nude accessories. Stitched inside was the date of our wedding alongside ‘Mr and Mrs Young’ to personalise our day further.

Who did your hair and makeup?   The very talented Katie Rouse did the wedding hair for my bridal party and I loved how experienced she was at pin ups. Georgia Rice has been my beautician for a few years and as always, my makeup was beyond perfect. She made us all feel at ease and everyone looked beautiful on our big day.

Who did your flowers and what did you chose?  Low fell florist created our stunning floral arrangements, bouquets and buttonholes that matched our theme perfectly. In particular, the bouquet contained strings of pearls in memory of my Grandmother.

What was your favourite part of the day?   Our favourite part of the day was our vows and being surrounded by all of our loved ones creating memories to last a lifetime. Even though James’s favourite part was probably the main course!

What is your top tip for another Bride and Groom?  Breathe, enjoy the planning process and ultimately, cherish your day being with all your loved ones. Remember to soak in the moment and take time out to spend with your husband.
